How to Get There?

If you choose to get to Batukaras on your own, here are the options:

  1. Flight (preferably) from Jakarta to Pangandaran with Susi Air

    • Depart from Airport Pondok Cabe, Jakarta to Airport Nusawiru Cijulang, Pangandaran.

    • We can arrange the pickup from Pangandaran airport to Batukaras.

  2. Drive by car, ETA 7-8 hours

  3. Train | ETA 11.5 hours.

    • Take the train from Jakarta - Banjar (7.5 hr)

    • After arrived in Banjar, take the bus with route Banjar - Pangandaran (2.5 hr)

    • After arrived in Pangandaran, take the minibus with route Pangandaran - Batukaras (1.5 hr)

    Known as the best spot in Indonesia to learn to surf due to its long, gentle right-hander waves in a protected bay and a forgiving sandy bottom. You can have a long-minute ride since the waves roll up to 400 meters, perfect for long boarders! It works most of the year, low tide and mid tide.

    Known as Karang by the locals, is a long right-hand point break that on good days, and higher tides, sends a faster and more workable wall for up to 150 meters. Perfect for intermediate and more experienced surfers.
