  • Arrival at Waingapu | Pero Beachl | Ratenggaro Village | Mbwanna Beach

    You have arrived at Umbu Mehang Kunda Airport, Waingapu (WGP) in East Sumba. Let the journey begin! Our first destination is to visit Pero Beach. Have lunch in a secluded place accompanied by the sound of crashing waves.

    We will continue our journey to visit Ratenggaro Village, a unique place where you’ll witness many historical objects, ancient megalithic tombstones, traditional houses, and the locals traditional daily lives.

    Then we will visit one of Sumba’s most iconic beach, the Mbwanna Beach. The beach is very private and ‘untouched’, plus the beauty of this beach is unparalleled, we mean it, literally.

    Our first day trip will end with a nice dinner before going back to the hotel.

  • Weekuri Lagoon | Mandorak Beach | Praijing Village | Wairinding Hill

    Starting off our second day and head on to one of the famous and most favorite tropical paradises in Sumba, Weekuri Lagoon. What to expect: swim in its crystal blue lagoon, surrounded by rocks, large cliffs and tropical trees, an unforgettable experience for sure!

    Continuing our journey by going to Mandorak Beach, a beautiful white sandy beach, mellow waves, nested In between 2 huge natural reefs guaranteed to spoil your eyes!

    After, let’s go and visit Praijing Village, one of the most well-known traditional villages in Sumba. Here, we can learn more about Sumba’s traditions while interacting with the villagers.

    From There, we will visit one of Sumba’s icon, the Wairinding Hill. The picture perfect savannah landscape offers the best experience for catching sunset.

  • Tenau Hill | Puru Kamera Savanna | Tanggedu Waterfall | Walakiri Beach

    Today, our morning starts with a majestic sunrise viewing of Tenau Hill.

    Afterwards, we will continue our journey to Puru Kamera Savanna, an exotic place to find the majestic Sumba’s wild horses.

    Then we’ll continue for a quick trekking and swimming session at Tenggedu Waterfall. Quick tip, on the way there, you’ll pass the most amazing sceneries of the island, so stay awake! and thank us later!

    There’s always a new place to experience a wonderful sunset session. We’ll take you to Walakiri Beach. As the sun sets, you will be treated with a gorgeous silhouette of dancing mangrove trees overlooking the cotton candy sky.

  • Ikat Weaving Gallery | Raja Prailiu Village | Persaudaraan Hill

    Our fourth day begins with a visit to Tenun Ikat Weaving Gallery, a place to learn about the intricate weaving process of Sumba’s traditional fabric.

    Then immerse yourself with the rich cultural traditions of Sumba’s Raja Prailiu Village. Meet the friendly locals and discover the unique statues, megalithic burials, beautiful traditional clothes, and historical artifacts.

    Our last destination is visiting the gorgeous landscape of Waingapu from atop of Persaudaraan Hill.

    Finally, we are at the end of our Sumba journey. Time to head to Tumbu Mehang Kunda Airport (WGP), hope to see you on the next enthralling and stunning Sumba trip!

Your trip will be booked after 50% down payment. Full payment is required 50% 2 weeks before the trip. See the details in your invoice.

 
 

Advance Notices

  • We recommend you to bring reusable tumbler/water bottles and plastic bags during the trip.

  • During your trip, in some villages, the local kids might approach you and ask for money, please do not give them money, if you are planning on giving back to the locals, give them clothes/books/stationary/other items.

  • Some places have a challenging route; you must be physically fit to take this journey.

  • As Sumba is still a remote area, we hope that you keep an open mind with the diversity of the people, the local scene, the local culture, and tradition.

  • During the trip, some route might be changed due to the field and nature conditions. Because we always prioritize your safety.
